OL2007 Inbox Not Showing New Mail

I've looked for an answer to this issue before, but never received a
response, so I thought I would try again.

In Outlook 2007 the counter for unread mail updates the Inbox count when new
mail is received, but the emails don't show in the Inbox. I have to
physically click on another mail folder, then click on the Inbox again to see
the new mail. This is extremely frustrating.

The mails account(s) are POP and the mail is being delivered to a .pst file.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you are running windows firewall, go into the settings and make an
exception for the program outlook.exe

Outlook.exe is already in the exception list and the scope is set to "Any
Computer (including those on the INternet)".
