OL2007- Messages stuck in outbox

I am running Outlook 2007 against SBS2003, in cached mode, on a Vista x64
Ultimate workstation. All has been well for two months, until a few days ago
when messages started to stick in the Outbox. Strangely, even messages I send
through a POP3 account in the same profile may stick. It appears that at
least some of the times the messages are being sent, but not removed from the
Outbox or copied to Sent Items. If I try to delete the message, it tells me I
cannot because Outlook has already started sending it.
In addition, Outlook frequently generates an exception on closing (c0000005)
and on restarting tells me it experienced a problem with the Exchange
Messaging Add-in.



In order to fix the issue I have already done the following:
- SCANOST and SCANPST
- Repair-installation of Office 2007
- Deleted profile and recreated it.
- Disabled all 3rd party Add-Ins (I only have two 3rd party. I could only
disable Adobe PDF by renaming the dll to prevent loading, as I got message
about Addins loading via HKLM, but there were no keys in HKLM to change).

I have now enabled Logging and see a raft of RPC errors (see below).

No one else in the office is having a problem, so I presume Exchange is
functioning correctly.

Any ideas?

Can you delete the stuck message if you forts choose File | Work Offline?

I can delete them by Canceling the Send/Receive first. But clearing the
messages out of my OUtbox doesn't help much; the next message I send will
stick and I have no way of knowing whether the previous messages were
actually sent or not.

The RPC errors seem to indicate a communication problem with the server. I
seem to have a workaround for the moment by communicating with RPC over HTTP.
But I'd like to fix the issue.

I was having this problem with Outlook 2007 popping to Hotmail. With me the
"sticking in the outbox" also resulted in multiple sends of the messages.
The problem was exascerbated by its propensity to happen whenever I was
sending large attachments.

I tried installing MS Outlook Connector to connect with Hotmail, but that
had problems of its own.

Suffice it to say that Outlook 2007 is the buggy-est release of Outlook
since I started using it in 1996 or so (first release after Schedule).

Let me know if you find a solution --> I have posted my problem elsewhere.

I am running Outlook 2007 against SBS2003, in cached mode, on a Vista
x64
Ultimate workstation. All has been well for two months, until a few
days
ago
when messages started to stick in the Outbox. Strangely, even messages

through a POP3 account in the same profile may stick. It appears that
at
least some of the times the messages are being sent, but not removed
from
the
Outbox or copied to Sent Items. If I try to delete the message, it
tells

cannot because Outlook has already started sending it.
In addition, Outlook frequently generates an exception on closing
(c0000005)
and on restarting tells me it experienced a problem with the Exchange
Messaging Add-in.



In order to fix the issue I have already done the following:
- SCANOST and SCANPST
- Repair-installation of Office 2007
- Deleted profile and recreated it.
- Disabled all 3rd party Add-Ins (I only have two 3rd party. I could
only
disable Adobe PDF by renaming the dll to prevent loading, as I got
message
about Addins loading via HKLM, but there were no keys in HKLM to
change).

I have now enabled Logging and see a raft of RPC errors (see below).

No one else in the office is having a problem, so I presume Exchange is
functioning correctly.

Any ideas?

Since Hotmail doesn't offer POP accounts, I don't know how you could "pop to
Hotmail" On top of that, POP is an _incoming _ protocol. You can only pop
_from_ a server, never _to_ a server. Hotmail acounts are type HTTP.
The problem was exascerbated by its propensity to happen whenever I was
sending large attachments.

Most often caused by scanning outgoing messages with an antivirus program,
something that's never needed.

Excuse the imprecise use of language.

But the program still didn't work correctly, which was an annoyance if I
accidentally used hotmail as the send server for a file with an attachment.
And it was an annoyance to people receiving 10-20 copies of an email with a
big attachment.

So, to try to remedy that problem I installed MS Connecter 4. Now I have a
new problem.

SOMEHOW Microsoft managed to produce a program called "Outlook" from 1997 or
so until 2007 that worked pretty seamlessly. I used it, advocated it,
prescribed it to clients in fact. NOW for the last 9 months I have had a
program called "Outlook 2007" that crashes on a regular basis, spams my
friends, etc. when I try to read my mail, compose mail, and load/send my mail
using HTTP (?) Hotmail.

You seem to know what you are talking about. I would appreciate it if you
looked at my other post in this forum titled "Subject: Vista - Outlook 2007 -
Outlook Connector to Live Mail problems."

Nothing forces you to use Outlook 2007. If you likes Outlook 2003 (or 2002,
or...) better, why switch?
You seem to know what you are talking about. I would appreciate it

Alas, I don't have much personal experience with the Outlook Connector. My
Hotmail account allows me to use Outlook without using the connector.

It seems like a good work-around to the problems of Outlook2007, I agree.
