OL2007: outlook today and public folders

i just migrated from OL2003 to OL2007.
my only account is on the local exchange2003sp2 server.
in "outlook today" page i have set to show, further "my inbox" folder,
two public folders on the exchange server in which we receive external
emails (support and info).
with OL2003, when a new message arrive to the public folder, the
outlook today page showed the classic bold number beside the folder
name to indicate unread messages.
in OL2007, i'm not able to obtain the same behaviour: even if there are
unread messages in the public folder, the number is always on zero.

how could i fix this?
