OL2007 - PF Backup and Exiting the Application

Hello

I have the Outlook PF Backup for 2003 installed in Outlook 2007, there is no
2007 of the utility and I read that the 2003 version of PF Backup is
compatible with OL2007.

Having got the add-in installed on both laptop and desktop, it works OK on
the Laptop but the desktop seems to be having a problem.

The PF Backup first worked fine, however sometimes the Backup option in the
File menu is missing, next, when I asked it to backup and close outlook, it
then said that the portion of the file was locked, I found out that it was
caused by Nokia Mobile Phone Synchronization and also an iPaq that I have
syncing with Outlook. Having switched these off, when I close outlook, it
now doesn't actually fully "exit" and in the Vista task manager its always
running, on opening Outlook 2007 up, it opens instantly i.e. it has been
running all the time.

This is what I think is stopping the backup from "backing up" because it
needs Outlook to exit and it isn't.

How does one stop this behavior? when Outlook is asked to exit and unload
from the system it simply doesn't.

Any help appreciated.

do you have any other addins installed? Outlook won't close completely if
another program is accessing the outlook data - that's why the problems with
the phone and pda.
