OL2007 sharing contacts

I am trying to share my contacts with another user. I right click on
contacts and select Change Sharing Permissions. I select the user from the
list, click the Add-> button, set permissions. The user is now in the list
of people with permission to access my contacts. Then when I click Apply,
the user is removed from that list. I tried another user as a test, and that
one stayed in the list when I clicked on Apply. What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried just right-clicking, and choose Share Contacts. This will
bring up an e-mail window, where you can choose the recipient's e-mail
address. Click send and then try it that way. My guess is your contacts
will show up underneath their contacts but will be labeled "People's
contacts" or something to that effect.

I logged into another computer with OL2003 and shared my contacts from there.
That worked. I am not sure whether it is a problem with OL2007 or something
flaky about the account I was trying to share with.
