Robert (AAT)
SBS2003 SP1 network with one unruly client (client 1) running OL2007.
This has worked correctly up to day before yesterday.
When connected to Ethernet at desk 1, I have Internet, etc, but OL insists
on it being disconnected. It attempts to connect but fails. No access to
company web, nor can I browse to the server or other clients. I can ping the
server name and ip address.
Then I disconnect the Ethernet cable, enable wireless, and within seconds OL
says it is connected to MS Exchange.
Same thing happens when client 1 is at Desk 2. ???
Now I take client 2 to desk 1, and now OL connects to Exchange through
Ethernet or Wireless. No problems. Client 2 also works correctly on Desk 2.
So:
ethernet cable must be good;
from switch to server must be good;
the server must be good;
I have Internet.
I am lost, any suggestions?
