OL2K-SR1 can't find/open outbound attachments

I moved the girlfriend's XP Pro SP1 system from a 8GB drive
with no wiggle room to a roomy 30GB drive.

Now Outlook 2K claims it can't find or open outbound attachments.
It worked fine before the move.

I believe I checked all the Option settings; even tried deleting and
re-installing Office 2K SR1, with no luck.

I'd really appreciate any ideas here.
