Olap Cube Build Error...can't seem to get the cube to build

Posted a few days ago, but the post gets buried quickly here, and wasn't
getting a large amount of help so am reposting...

this message is from my queue errors in my personal settings...MSPS 2007.

Quick update...still no joy though...

Went thru all my inactive resources...those whom have left the company as
the message was saying something to the effect of NT logins who have
permission to bla bla bla...so I went in and removed all inactive resources
from their security roles, ie Project Manager, Administrator, Team
Member...etc...

Rebuilt the cube..or tried..got this error...

WHY IS MY CUBE BUILD SAYING CANCELLED?????? I didn't cancel it!!! Promise!!

Hi Shawn,

Is your application Server and Database server all on one box?
If this is seperate then I would recommend you install the SQL Client
(Management Studio if using SQL 2005) on application Server to trouble shoot
conenctions with the Analysis Services.

I would recommend a relook at the configuration of the Analysis Services for
PS2007 and possibly re-configure the Analysis Services for PS2007.

copy that. Yeah..in my hunt for answers, I downloaded that document yesterday.

I do connect to Analysis services via the Application server box....they are
separated and I do use SQL 2005 Management Studio that lives on the
application box...so...check that one.

I didn't want to have to reconfigure the cube, but since someone else (you)
is thinking like me...I may just go ahead and do it. grrr. Thanks!

Any one else before I head down that path?

ok...I took all my custom fields out of all the configuration settings for
the cube under cube configuration.

Still getting the same error. There is a bigger problem here...

No customizations to the cube, it won't build previous cubes, it won't build
new cubes...

ANY HELP? I'm getting frustrated with this POS product, sorry.

Hi Shawn,

I see you try to build new cube MSPS_PROD_Cube_072908. Is this cube created
on the analsysi services (in Management Studio) and is it possible to process
this cube manually? Is the account with what you logon to Managemen studio
the same as the SSP account from you sahrepoint farm?

It would be very strange when this runs ok and from ProjectServer it fails.
But when you use different accounts for SSP and manual process, it could be
related to regional settings from those user. (had that once before).

let us know what you have after these investigations.

I do connect to Analysis services via the Application server box....they are
separated and I do use SQL 2005 Management Studio that lives on the
application box...so...check that one.

I didn't want to have to reconfigure the cube, but since someone else (you)
is thinking like me...I may just go ahead and do it. grrr. Thanks!

(Management Studio if using SQL 2005) on application Server to trouble shoot
conenctions with the Analysis Services.

I would recommend a relook at the configuration of the Analysis Services for
PS2007 and possibly re-configure the Analysis Services for PS2007.

Quick update...still no joy though...

Went thru all my inactive resources...those whom have left the company as
the message was saying something to the effect of NT logins who have
permission to bla bla bla...so I went in and removed all inactive resources
from their security roles, ie Project Manager, Administrator, Team
Member...etc...

Rebuilt the cube..or tried..got this error...

WHY IS MY CUBE BUILD SAYING CANCELLED?????? I didn't cancel it!!! Promise!!
