OLAP cube build fails with error number -2147221411

Our OLAP cube build is scheduled to be rebuilt every night at 12:30 AM.. It
often fails with error number -2147221411.
Once it fails, it continues to fail until the projservcube is restored from
a backup, some ProjectServer database tables are truncated and the cube is
rebuilt again. I am a novice with this product and don't know where to look.

Please help. I'm not sure what information would help.

Thank you in advance.

We have the following configuration. MS Project Server 2003 and SQL Server
2000 Standard Edition SP1 are installed on one 2 CPU server with OS Windows
2003. Analysis Services is installed on another 2 CPU server with OS Windows
2003 SP1. The servers are rarely bounced. They are backed up by the HP
Openview Storage Data Protector.

The IIS Connection Timeout is set to 120 seconds.

The first day of failure there are four messages in the Event Viewer marked
Error followed by two marked Warning.
The first message begins

I would start with installing the latest SQL Service Pack. Also apply the
latest service pack to the DSO components on your Front-End Project Server .
Make sure the account under which the views processor is running is in the
OLAP admin group.

Thank you, Paul.

I have found that we are on SQL Server SP3a rather than SP1 as I reported.

I understand that there is now a SP4 which I will download and apply.

I will report if the upgrade solves the problem.
