OLAP Cube build problems

One of our IT guys is experiencing a strange issue with OLAP generation.

If we generate a cube at 17:00 it seems to generate OK and
includes all the information we would expect. The OLAP
cube is also set to run a timed generation at 1:00 am but
this one seems to have data missing. If we generate
another one when I come into work first thing, the cube
data seems OK and matches the one generated at 17:00 the
previous day.

So the issue is with a timed generation of the cube. A
manual generation seems to solve the issue.

Does anyone know why this might be ? And how to solve
it ?

What else is running on that server at 1:00 a.m.? Any chance you're
overlapping a backup operation or something else that might interfere?

Hi Gary

The nearest operation is 3 hours away.

There is no possibility of someone changing any projects in between either.
I have checked. I am convinced that there is an issue with the time
scheduled cube build that is not apparent if you run a manual update.

Is this something you may have come across ?
