I am having a problem with duplication of outline code nodes in the OLAP cube
of our Project Server 2003 installation.
My symptom:
In the PWA, in Portfolio Analyzer, when we choose the drop-down for any
outline code with more than 2 levels, we see this (I'll use RBS as an
example):
aaa
bbb
ccc
{mbr}
ccc
RM
{mbr}
RM
{mbr}
RM
RM-1
If we look in MS Project Pro 2003, Resource Sheet view, and pull the
drop-down for the RBS, we see this:
aaa
bbb
ccc
{mbr}
RM
{mbr}
RM
{mbr}
It appears to be adding duplicate nodes in the cube view. The cube data is
not duplicated on these nodes, so the actual fact tables are being associated
with only one of these nodes. It happens for any outline code with 3 or more
levels - simpler, 2-level structures match up fine.
What we've tried:
- rebuilding the cube
- building a new cube instance
- looking at the raw data tables
Analyzer views, because the Resource Center view is fine)
We just need some suggestions on what to look at next.

(we figure that the PWA is building the drop-down from the cube in Portfoliothe outline code tables do not have duplicate entries for the repeating nodes
those tables appearr to have the correct parent/child relationships
the Web tables also have no duplicate entries and correct relationships
the cube tables definitely have the duplicate nodes and relationships
Analyzer views, because the Resource Center view is fine)
We just need some suggestions on what to look at next.
