OLAP Cube fields definition documentation

I am looking high and low for a document which describes the data
found in the MOPS 2007 default OLAP cubes. I am having a heck of a
time trying to tell the difference between the data available in the
EPM Timesheet cube vs the MSP_Project_Timesheet cube vs. the Timesheet
cube. I am spinning cycles galore tossing fields into views, then
going back and trying to figure out just what it is I'm looking at.

Has anyone seen such a reference document anywhere?

   According to "MS Project Server 2007 - UNLEASHED", page 804, the MSSDK
contains OLAP details. I can't vouch for that, only report what I read! :>)

Thanks, Jackson. I've been thru the SDK and don't see exactly what I'm
looking for. Let me try asking it this way:

I am looking for the total of hours a resource submits on his/her
timesheet. This includes some work entered against project tasks. It
also includes hours reported against "Administrative Categories", as
well as hours reported against Activity Plans and Proposal Plans.

The field called "Actual Work", which appears in multiple cubes, seems
to be displaying only those hours entered against project tasks.

Where can I find a complete total of hours entered by each user on his/
her timesheet?

Thanks, and please let me know if I'm not asking my question with
sufficient clarity.

Hi Astro Boy,

Generally you have 14 OLAP cubes which are logically designed. These 14
cubes contain Project Schedule, Resource, Timesheet and Risk/Issue
information.

You should be able to find the total actual hours worked in one of the
timesheet cubes as long as your staff has entered their hours in timesheets.
I am sure you are aware that the timsheet functionality is different to the
Task update functionality. As long as your staff enteres their time via the
timesheet you will be able to report against the actual work ( this can be
actual billable work, actual non billable work, actual overtime, actual
billable overtime work).

Thanks for your reply, Marc, and I apologize for taking so long to
respond.

You're right - the "Timesheet" cube does report time entered via
timesheet, which is seen in the field Actual Work in that cube.
Unfortunately, and here's my real frustration, the field Actual Work
in other cubes INCLUDING "EPM Timesheet" and "MSP_Project_Timesheet"
does not reflect the same info. In those cubes, "Actual Work" appears
to only be project task work, and does not appear to include time
attributed to Administrative Categories.

I'm finding it difficult to explain why what appears to be the same
field contains different values depending on where you look.

Has anyone seen any documentaiton of the fields in the different
cubes, and what they represent?
