OLAP Cube - not accessible from other machine

Hi

I've just done a PServer2003 installation, split up on a DB-server and the
Project-server computer.

Everything works fine except for accessing the OLAP cube from another
computer that's not the DB-server.

The reposity has been migrated, a OLAP Admin added to the OLAP Group, I've
added Everyone and Users to a Analysis Role.

None of the computers are running in a domain.

How can I make a user (using the PServer-computer or another) access the
OLAP data to create and see views?

Thanks
Kasper

Hi Kasper

This might sound a bit obvious and I am sure you have
checked it but make sure that when you generated the OLAP
cube and/or the protfolio analyzer views that you did not
refer to the Serve Name as localhost.

Otherwise it is most likely to be an IIS permissions
issue, exactly what error message are you getting?

Thanks

Charlie

First off you should really deploy Project Server within a domain structure,
as the product was design for it.

If you split the two products up - Project Server on its own server and SQL
on another. You need to make sure that you install the DSO from SQL on
the Project Server. If this isn't done then OLAP cubes will not get created.
Confirm that you have done this first.

Hi Matt

Thanks for the reply.
DSO was installed on the ProjectServer according to the installation
instructions given by MS.
The cubes are created and works perfectly when accessed from the SQL server
(by connecting to the Project Server web pages).

I guess the permission-problems arise because I'm not running in a domain
environment... I'll look into that :)
