OLAP Cube

Hi,

I just installed project server 2003 and I try to build the OLAP Cube.
Before, I published a project with project professional 2003 to the project
server 2003, as told in the manual.

It is not possible to create the OLAP cube.
(the informations for analysis services during the project server
installation where given and accepted.)

Everytime, when I try to build the cube, after saving, and updating
manually, I first have the message, that the connection to the cube could
not been created (since it doesn't exist) and at the cubestatus the message
is displayed: the creation of the cube failed.


What is the solution for the problem?

Patrick:

Apparently you missed a step in configuration. Tell us exactly what steps
you took to configure Analysis services and maybe we can tell you what you
missed. I'd look first at the OLAP Admin account you're using in COM+ to
make sure that this account is a member of the OLAP Administrator's group on
the Project Server machine and the SQL Server machine.
