OLAP Cubes Missing...

My production Project Server 2003 environment is at SP1 (using SQL 2000 SP3).
I'm planning on upgrading to SP2a for sure and SP3 possibly. In preparation
for the upgrade(s), I'm trying to fix a problem with my OLAP Cube.

The standard OLAP Cube that is built includes:
1) MSP_ASSN_FACT
2) MSP_RES_AVAIL_FACT
3) MSP_PORTFOLIO_ANALYZER

However, currently I'm only seeing the MSP_ASSN_FACT cube. The other two
are gone. And, when I try to add them back using the wizard, they are not
listed.

How do I restore these missing cubes and rebuild the OLAP Cube successfully???

Will a total re-install of the environment be needed???

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Try deleting the cube and then forcing a rebuild from PWA.

Can I also suggest applying SP4 to SQL as part of your maintenance?

Hi Brandon,

As Paul suggested go to Analysis Services and delete the Project Server Cube
Database all together. Before you do so, you will need to note down if you
have any security rights associated to the cubes. note them down and then
delete the Project Server cube database.

Then go to PWA und start rebuilding the cube, should the cube build have
been successfull, all that is left is to associate the sercurity rights to
the cubes again.

The reason why you can do this, is because when Project Server builds the
cubes, it deletes all cubes first from Analysis Services before it rebuilds
them again from scratch. Thats why, if the cube build has not been succesful,
you may not have all cubes.

I hope this helps

Thank you for your help Marc and Paul!!!

I successfully upgraded my production environment to SP2a this morning,
deleted the old cube, and just completed building a new one...

All's well in Project Land again!!! ;-)

THANKS AGAIN!!!
