OLAP Data different then publish data in PWA

I have reviewed a few posts here, but have not been able to get enough info
on OLAP cube data showing differently in DA views then in Project Center and
within MS Project.

PS 2007, Dec IU - Actual Work is showing different data in DA views. No
errors appear on the cube builds when ran, and everything looks setup
correctly as far as the Cubes and Project tasks data goes.

Any ideas on possible causes here to troubleshoot?

Thanks

wdritt,

Has the project information changed since the last time the cubes were
rebuilt? I rebuild every night so first thing in the morning the two show the
same data but once PMs begin publishing changes to schedules they no longer
match because the cubes are only updated nightly while the schedules and
Project Center views (coming from the published DB) are updated any time.

Additional info:
Issue is across multiple projects and resources.

Although teh projects in question are new, this environment was a 2003
migration

Yes, when testing, rebuilt a few times, and had no errors in those builds and
data stayed wrong

Have you also Published the projects in question? have you reconsiled the
project with the OLAP cube to identify where the dicreprancy exisit?
thanks

Yes, projects were published and data looks correct in Project Details view.
The discrepancy is the Actual Work total for a task.

Is Actual Work recalculated every build in the OLAP totals?

Marc, thanks for the continued feedback.

From the PWA side, there were no errors in the queues or logs. I did not
have access to the database. Would there be anything to look at there?

Hi WDR,

Not necessarily the Database, but the Web / App Server Event log logs errors
if there are any. I would ask your Admin staff to check out the event logs on
the server to see if there are any Project Server event log errors.
Hope this helps
