OLAP extensions SDK implementation

Has anyone here used the pay period module of this SDK?

Do I really need to use Visual Basic 6.0/.net to implement? I don't have
Visual Studio or any other development tool installed on this server and
would rather not
if I don't have to.

I have created the tables on the SQL server, I have made thelinks, but they
won't save until I have populated the tables with data. The VB project
included with the SDK is supposed to populate the tables (I believe).

Windows Server 2003
MS Project Server 2003
SQL Server 2000
