old alert mgr

I'm in a master project and once-in-a-while a "old alert
mgr" box comes up and says "do you want to save changes
to and names the file" I say yes or no and the files i'm
in closes without saving my edits. I can't find anything
anywhere on this. Can anyone help? thanks.

I also get a similar error
If I happen to be editing a project and using the date slector for start/finish and an autosave comes along, the pop-up box OLD ALERT MGR appears. Requesting if I want to save or not. Unfortunatly you can not select any of the buttons on the pop up, nor can you cancel or escape away from the pop-up. You can still edit your plan, but you can not access any of the drop downs or use any of the CTRL functions invoke copy/save etc. The only way I have found to get out of this is to kill the process and therefore loosing the most recent changes....doesn't this go against what an Autosave is meant to do

Anyone with ideas on how to stop this from happening (except switiching autosave off) or get out of it once it happens, please post. I'm using Project 2002 (problem existed in 2000 too)
