Old appointments in Blackberry don't appear in Outlook after sync

I want to keep old appointment in both Blackberry and in Outlook. But it
seems that when I add appointments in my Blackberry that were in the past
(added just for the purpose of keeping my records straight), these
appointments don't seem to get transfered into Outlook upon synching.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a work-around?

You must configure your Blackberry to keep old items forever and, if it has
the feature, configure your sync software to sync old items as well as new.
Outlook takes no active part in the sync process. It's all up to the sync
software and, sometimes, the device as to what syncs and what doesn't.
