Hello,
I have 3 machines all running XP (sp2) and Office 2000 (including Access db)
on a simple network. They seem to be communicating just fine. What I am
hoping you experts can help me with is two things:
On machine #1, I have an Access db. I am able to browse in my Explorer on
machines #2 and #3 and see the db file on machine #1 just like I am supposed
to. But, my problems are:
1.) I would like to move the entire db (it does have a front end and a
backend) to machine #3. But, I can't seem to find or see (know?) what all
files I am supposed to move over to the new machine.
2.) I would like to be able to view/open/read/edit/save the db on all of the
machines. But, when I try to open the db on the other machines, I get an
error that says: "Cannot find file C:\Documents and
Settings\Users\mydatabase.mdb. I don't understand why this is as I can see
the files right there, but I can't open it.
Hoping some of you experts out there can help.
Thanks,
avi
