Old Entourage 2004 database won't open

I moved my files to a removable drive and then deleted them from my
hard drive to make room for FileVault to unencrypt to use with Time
Machine using Leopard 10.5.

I copied the files back, but Entourage will only open a new database.

We need details. Where did you copy the files? Have you tried to switch
Identities and select the old Identity? I don't use FileVault, but do a Get
info on your Identity folder and make sure it isn't locked.
