Old mail to new mac...

Hello,

Can someone help me with this? I am trying to transfer old mail to my
new Mac...

My starting point: Outlook Express 5.02 for MacIntosh in OS 9.2
(Powerbook G3).

My desired arrival: Apple Mail on Mac OS X (G5).

I managed to export files to Entourage 9.0, and transfered the files to
my new Mac. Then I copied the files on Documents/Microsoft
UserData/Office X Identities/MainIdentity.

Well, "This identity cannot be opened with this version of Entourage",
tells me the computer...

What can I do now?

Thanks,

Heloisa

You need to download and apply all the updates top office on the new mac -
that version of office has not been updated, while the version that created
the data files has.

Barry,

Thanks for the email! I download the new version, but the message keeps
showing up. "This identity cannot be opened with this version of
Entourage". Also, when opening Word, "An unexpected error ocurred while
trying to load the Microsoft Framework X Library". But Word opens and
works normally besides that.

If you receive a framework error, re-apply recent updates. A framework error
normally means one or more components of Office have not been updated
correctly and are now out of synch with other bits.

You might need to reapply the latest combo updater from Apple again. Doing
so overwrites potentially problem-causing files.
