Old Microsoft Word Picture

I have an old line drawing (actually a genealogy) that I made with probably
MS Word 95. I now have MS Word 2007 and I'd like to edit that line drawing.
When I click on the drawing it tells me that I need to have microsoft word
picture. Is this an old program that isn't in Word 2007? Otherwise can
anybody tell me how I might be able to edit this genealogy?

Thanks!

Is the picture in a Word document? If not what is the format of the
picture?(.jpg, .wmf, .bmp, others).
What is the exact name of the application Word is asking your for. PhotoDraw?
Photo Editor?

Hi Mary, Thanks for getting back so quickly! The document is a Word doc.
When I try to open it it says "The program used to create this object is
Microsoft Word Picture. That Program is not installed on your computer. To
edit this object, you must install a program that can open the object." So I
guess my questions are: 1) Wouldn't this program be in MS Office 2007? And
2) if not, where can I find a program that will open this?

Thank you again,

Amadeus

I can find information about your problem in Word 2000 but not as far back as
you are trying to recover the file.

I have Word 95 and 97 loaded on a couple of vintage computers, I could try to
recover your picture if you want to send me the file.
