old office charts

Hello there,
I have lots of .opx charts created with word 2000, with MS
Organization Chart 2 application.
I am using word 2003 now, but cannot use old charts to import and save
in a new word document. If I open them with MS Org Chart 2 program,
next copy and paste into word 2003 document , word treats them as
picture.
I want to import them as diagrams so I can edit them with drawing
toolbar[insert diagram].
Is there an executable for Word 2003 diagrams feature so I can open
them one by one with it? I would rather use the office 2003 built in
tools versus OrgChart Plus program.
Thank you, T

Hi Calinquqa,

If you paste an old version org chart image in then yes, it will be a picture :) You can download and install the previous version
MS Office Org chart tool to use in Office 2003
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ork2003/HA011402441033.aspx
(and as you've already found it has a much enhanced bigger version from http://orgplus.org) and use Insert=>Object for the .OPT
items. There are features in MS Org Chart 2 not in the Diagram tool and vice versa.

There isn't a MS converter that I recall for changing the .OPT charts to the Office XP/2002/2003 Diagram tool versions. The 2003
Diagram tool is replaced again in Office 2007 with Office Art (SmartArt) and in that case the 2003 diagrams are converted but not
the .OPT files.
