old reminders continue to pop-up

Exchange 2000 sp3 with active directory platform. end
users with Office xp/2000.

Outlook starts and displays reminders from calendar that
are old, dismissed etc. I see no errors in any logs and
I can not stop this. (some users have over 60
reminders!!)

Please help

Start Outlook with the /cleanreminders switch. From the command line type
outlook.exe /cleanreminders
