I have working on building a database for all of our vendor information to be
stored. I have been attempting to insert PDF files as linked OLE objects. It
worked successfully for the first half of the inserts, but now I am getting
one of two errors all the time. Wehn I go to Insert Object, Browse for file,
I am brought to my C: drive instead of the network. Then when I locate the
correct folder of the PDF file that I want to insert as a link, the file is
showing as an empty file (the files do not show up). I usually first get the
error message "There isn't enough memory to complete the automation object on
the OLE object", then I try again and from then on will receive the message
"A problem occurred while Microsoft Access was communicating with the OLE
server or ActiveX Control". I am under the assumption that some Visual Basic
will need to be incorporated, but I do not know where to go from here. I do
not know what code to put in in order to pull various files into one field.
Please advise as to how I can tackle this problem......
Thank you!
