Hi there,
this is my first post to this forum, and having read some of the other posts
I have high hopes for getting a solution to my problem (no pressure at all
then).
My problem is this - I have an Access database which has a single-sided (ie
small) Word document for each client, stored as a linked OLE object. The
document itself contains some information that has been copy'n'pasted from a
particular website and includes images and text. Each document is unique to
the client.
I am trying to create a report that amongst other things contains a sub-
report displaying the contents of the Word document. I've put a bound object
frame on the report and thought this would do the trick. However, when I run
the report only some of the Word documents are being displayed. I get the
same problem when I open the sub-report oin its own too.
The documents that are being displayed are ones where I have opened them
directly from the table where the OLE linked object is stored.
Is there a method by which I can "reinforce" the linked data prior to runtime,
without having to manually open each and every Word document - there are
several thousand in total, but are filtered to ~ 50 for each report run.
The linked data is definitely there, but it seems like the report can't find
it at runtime. Is this a known issue, or has anyone come across anything
similar before?
Thanks in advance for you assistance.
