OLE field in Form - change in way file is displayed

I created a form with OLE fields to display links to pictures.
The form field always used to display file name before clicking on it. Now,
for all new pictures I create a link for, I can't get the file name to be
displayed - a picture appears instead! what has changed? Is it a windows
update? I've tried the Db on a number of XP SP2 computers and Access 2000 /
2003 - all the same.
When I right-click on the field:
Older files - gives options for "PAckage Object"
New Inserts - gives options for "Linked Photo Editor Phot Object"
Please help - I don't know where to look!
