Hello,
I am running here in something a bit tricky I guess. I am using Office 2007.
We are using lots of excel spreadsheets linked in Powerpoint presentations.
Imagine that I am working on my local computer and paste link many excel
graphs within a presentation.
Then I want to drag & drop the presentation and the Excel source file on an
http share. When opening the presentation, even if the links seem to point to
the Excel file on the http share, they are still linking to the spreadsheet
on my desktop.
I guess that this is "normal" from what I have understood.
I wrote a macro to replace the links and make them point to the file stored
on the http share, but each time a link is updated, the excel workbook is
opened in background, which make the operation reallly slow.
Is anybody having those kind of issues ? Did you find a way to solve them ?
With VBA writing is there a way to replace/edit links without opening Excel
each time an OLE object is updated.
Thanks for your answers,
