OLE Object field - extract a word document

I have a table containing an OLE Object column that I want to use to store
and retrieve small word documents with. I have been able to store the
object but cannot retrieve it. I want to be able to retrieve the object
directly into word and display it to the user.

Has anyone had any success with this ? If so, please help.
