OLE object file size expansion

I have set up a database to create employee security
cards. The photos I need to use are very small jpgs (less
than 100kb) but expand to 2mb+ when I use insert object
ocmmand. This pushes the database over the maximum size
before I have inserted all 900 photos. Any solution - am
desperate...

Access 97, OS Windows 200 Pro
