OLE Object Icon

I have a table with a field for embedded OLE objects. I have a control for
the field on a form, and would like to display an icon. I select "display as
icon" in the dialog box when embedding the object, but no icon appears on the
form. Instead, all I see is text describing the object (e.g. "excel sheet").
Any help?
