Whenever I try to open any of my pivot forms on a database housed on a
network share I get the error "The connection with the OLE server was lost or
the ole server encountered an error while you were using it."
This seems to be a problem with just my computer because when I go to
another computer everything opens fine. I can run the underlying query on my
computer, it just will not come up as a pivot table.
I can create pivot tables fine in excel
OLE automation is running and stdole is correct in version.
I have disabled firewalls, AV and Spyware apps
I wish I could tell you what changed between the time it was working
(several months ago) and when it stopped (a couple months back) but too much
has changed.
I have scoured the Internet and while there seems to be a lot of the same
problem, the few answers provided are not applicable or do not resolve the
issue.
Does anybody have any suggestions I can try. I am about to format this
machine and start all over.
