OLK17, temporary internet files

My VP has been saving his excel spreadsheets in C:\documents and
settings\user\local settings\temporary internet files\OLK17\*.xls
inadvertantly and now can not browse to the directory.

I have looked at permissions, hidden files etc.. and can not browse to the
OLK17 directory. He is running MS XP Pro sp1 and Office XP Pro sp2.

You might be better of posting to a windowsxp or office ng for a more
definative response, however are you saying you cannot browse/open the
folder in explorer?
This will probably be a 'hidden' folder you will have to enable the view to
show all.
Maybe logging on as an Administrator might help, you are trying to access on
his pc and not via a network?
I take it you are aware that you can alter various defaults for most Office
apps

Let me guess; He opened the attachments directly from his e-mails, made
changes and pressed the "Save" button and thought changes where saved in the
e-mail?

You can't actually browse to that location as it is your Outlook "save
folder" and that in two meanings of the word; it temporarily saves the
directly opened attachments there and you can't browse to that location.
Copy and paste the location in the Explorer address bar and you will be able
to access it.

Hope this helps!
