ON 07 - Formattin mail-address

Where a URL typed in ON is automatically turned into a hyperlink, this
does not work with mail-address.
I would expect that a piece text in the e-mail address syntax could be
detected and a link be created automatically.

My workarounds so far:
1.) Put "mailto:" as a prefix. Then the address is formatted the right
way.
mailto:taesler@gmx shows correctly.
The prefix can be deleted thereafter.

2.) Open the hyperlink dialog from the right mouse menu,
Paste mail-address in the upper field for the target,
type in "mailto:" as a prefix.

Both ways are not really "elegant".
Does anybody know a better way??

Can we hope for seeing this fixed in the Final?
