On error event does not trigger

Hello !!

Can someone tell me why one of my forms with subform don´t trigger the on
error event if the user starts to enter data in the subform without entering
anyting in the main form? Normally Access tells the user that it requires a
post in the related table. In this form nothing happends at all. The user
can happily enter all the data he wants and after closing the form
everything is gone. In my other forms I´m using the on error event to tell
the user to start in the main form. Then running an undo command and set
focus to the first field in the main form. As in NorthWind. In this
particular form this does not work sins the on error event does not trigger.

Thanks in advance.

Lasse,

are the LinkMasterField and LinkChildField properties of the subform
control properly set? Has the relation between the tables referential
integrity set? Is the foreign key in the child table a required field?

Best regards
