On Open/Save, My Folders/Files Are Jumbled (No Order At All)

El Vibora

When I Open or Save a file in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Publisher,
etc) , My Folders and Files Are Jumbled. They are No Longer in Alphabetical
or Any Order at All and nothing I do seems to help at all.

They are in correct order in Explorer and all other programs except for MS
Office (I have Office XP Pro).

I am a very experienced computer person who builds his own systems and can
usually troubleshoot most issues but this one has me baffled.

Would appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks,

HI JoAnn.
I have tried changing the views, refreshing, restarting, shutting down and
re-starting. Anyting I could think of - DO you have any ideas on what might
help?
thanks,
- Carlos

Have you clicked name at the top of the directory? Sometimes it is the simplest
solution.

Hi Mary.
Boy do I feel stupid - I had the files and folders sorted by date and was
too blind to realize it. Mind you, I've been building computers and networks
and helping people fix their problems since the early 1980's.
As Home Simpson would say... "DOH!"
Thanks again for all of youy help.
