On receving mail error that a .PST file is trying to be saved

When I check for mail I am able to pull down new mail, but then a dialog box
appears with the heading "Personal Folders" with the content, "The path
specified for the file c:\program files\ DD Alief\AlieflSD.pst is not vaild."
What is it and were is it coming from and how do I stop it?
