ON07 Missing page scroll feature?

T

themurf

I have been using ON03 for some time. I purchased a new computer for my wife
and it had ON07 student installed. In ON03 I can view individual pages
quickly by holding down the left mouse button and moving the curser over the
page tab and the contents of that page appears. IN the ON07 student version
this does not work. It will move the tab. Has this feature been disabled or
do I need a different version to get this feature. To me it is a very
important function when looking through a significant number of documents.

Instead of holding down the mouse button, just run the cursor down the list.
It is actually an improvement in my opinion.

Kathy, thanks for the tip. However my version does not do it. There is a
small box that appears off to the side of the cursor that has a line synopsis
but the page does not change. I wonder if it has something to do with the
fact that the ON07 I am using is the student version. I am considering
upgrading but this is a feature that is important enough that I would stay
with the ON03 to be able to have it. I guess more information is needed.
Thanks Jim

Patrick, The configuration I have has the page tabs on the right. If I put
the mouse cursor over the top tab and move the cursor down a small square box
appears near the cursor with a brief synopsis of the information on the page.
If I click on the first tab with the left mouse button the page highlights in
blue. If I drag the cursor down while holding the left mounse down the mage
is moved to the location where I release the left button. If I locate the
cursor on the top tab and hold down the control button and the left mouse
button and moove the cursor down across the other tabs, nothing happens but
the top page stays highlighted in blue.

Again, I am willing to upgrade to the full version as long as I know that
the full page preview feature will be available in the upgrade.

Thanks, Jim

The student version is identical to the full version in terms of
features. It is just a cheaper way of getting it.
Try this: hold down ctrl, click a page tab, then use your mouse scroll
wheel to go up or down.
Does it work then?

Now, Kathy Jacobs, in an earlier post indicated that hers scrolled through

Hold ctrl and keep it pressed.
Move the mouse over to the page tabs and click the first one (it should
change to blue).
While your mouse is there, scroll you mouse wheel down without moving
the mouse.
Still no luck?
If that doesn't work, hold down ALT instead of ctrl and try again.

What I am seeing is the small box that has the synopsis. I thought that was
what you were looking for. I didn't know you were looking for a full preview

curser over the
page tab and the contents of that page appears. IN the ON07
student version
this does not work. It will move the tab. Has this feature been
disabled or
do I need a different version to get this feature. To me it is
a very
important function when looking through a significant number of
documents.
