ON2007 beta 2 technical refresh - Help with tablet input text prob

J

jchris

I have raised the issue before and have not gotten a response regarding
previous version of ON2007 and the problem still exists in the new refresh
version.

When I am entering text in ON2007 with my pen on my tablet pc, I finish the
first line and I press enter in the TIP which results in a new line or a new
bullet if using outlining bullets. When I type the next line of text in the
TIP and press insert it adds the text to the end of the sentence on the
previous line. This means that entering text is not working. I then have to
put the cursor between the two sentences and press enter again to get it to
ccreate a new line.

This is a definite bug and I don't understand why this hasn't been addressed.

Please help by reponding. This was never a problem in ON 2003.

Submit it via connect.microsoft.com. Sign up for the OneNote connection
there. Make sure to submit specific steps (e.g. include the actual text
you are inputting) there. That's the best and fastest way to get MS onto
this issue. Note that you should do this as soon as only possible,
because the window for MS to fix bugs is rather short right now.

I have tried numerous times to submit this log on connect but it won't accept
me. I have sent the error request before and have gotten no response. I
cannot apply to the onenote connect to register the bug. I cannot believe
this problem is mine alone. Can you please help me find a way to submit the
bug?

Actually, just post your exact repro steps here, and I'll see when you
respond and make sure we take a look at this. This doesn't sound very
pleasent. :)

Alex,
Many of the people (I included) cannot get into the Connect site and its
reporting process. I hope MS hasn't missed any really important bugs, but it
seems likely that those of you from the company and the supporters out here
like Patrick and Ben will have passed on the worst.

Connect was a good idea but something was amiss. Hey, it feels like we're on
the home stretch to release. Thanks for doing what you can to get all the
loose stuff cleaned up.

MS looked into this a while ago. The reason you are having problems is
that you are not actually signed up for it. Apparently you can go on the
site, but not submit Feedback, unless you are signed up for OneNote in
particular.
I wished though I could tell you how to exactly sign up for it...
