Nope, because OneNote has no way of knowing whether other users are
using the same notebook. Maybe some user just wants to get rid of a
notebook shown in their ON, and would hit delete instead of close?
Everyone else using it would then be left in the dark.
Deleting a notebook is not something a user really would do very often.
Think about it, how often do you take a physical notebook and throw it
out? The only time I do that is when I have no storage space left.
Before I throw out a physical notebook, I'll first get a box and archive
it away. Same applies to my computer: Why delete a ON notebook? If I
need the hard drive space, I'll go ahead and archive it.
A notebook delete feature is only really useful when you are
restructuring your notebook organization. That happens so infrequently
that the danger of this being used incorrectly is much higher than any
potential benefit.
