OnAfterChange Event fires multiple times

Hi

I am performing some data modifications in an OnAfterChange event. i.e the
value in a drop down list changes and I defaults the value in another control
depending on the new value. I also have Rules and Actions defined on the drop
down list, however this particular requirement can't be performed using the
available actions.

What I have noticed is that when I change the value in the drop down list,
the OnAfterChange event for the control fires twice. (The control is not
bound to a repeating section).

Does anyone know why this may be happening and what I should be looking for?
