I have created a website in Publisher 2007, and I'm using IE8...appears fine
here when I preview website...publish to web...transfer via FTP (hosted by
godaddy)...once you type the url it briefly shows you the main page for about
1 second and disappears, the only thing left is the godaddy advertising at
the top of screen and my website background color...confused here, please
help (yes I know should have never designed this in Publisher but is all I
have)

It is a well known GoDaddy problem but you will have to wait for DavidF to
tell you the fix as he did for someone else just last week.

As John G. suggested this issue pops up occasionally, but there is no great
easy fix.

The free hosting service provided by GoDaddy puts a banner ad at the top of
your webpages. This will not work correctly with html code that uses
'absolute positioning' which is an integral part of Publisher code, so your
Publisher page is displaced to the right of the banner ad. There is no good
easy fix. You can use a paid hosting service without the banner ad, use a
different program to produce your web pages...even GoDaddy's on-line program
or try to find other free hosting. Sorry but editing Publisher code to make
it work has not been a viable choice...

Ok, yes...if you scroll to the right you will find your page content. It is
displaced to the right because of the absolute positioning coding. My answer
stays the same. Pay $5 a month for hosting, move to a different free host,
or use different software to produce your site.
