One day events span two days

I travel a lot between time zones. To calendar meetings, I always enter them
in the time zone I am in at the time, so that when I change the time zone
setting to my present location, all appointments will be shown in the zone I
am in. for example, if I am on the West coast and set an appointment for
10:00 am in Florida, I enter it as 7:00 am. When I arrive in Florida, I
change my time zone to EST. This works well for appointments with a specific
time, but causes all day events to span two day, and show little clocks at
the beginning and end of the appointment. How can I stop this?

You can't -- that's just the way it works. You can either add the all-day
events to span from 3AM-2:59AM while you're on the West coast and they should
show up as all day events when you change to EST, or you can add a second
time zone to the Day and Work Week view of your calendar so you can see when
the appointment/event occurs in each time zone.

Whoops, I guess I got that one backwards -- you'd set the event for 9PM one
day to 8:59PM the next day in PST and then it should change to an all-day
event (or at least 12AM to 11:59PM) in EST.

The MVP reply is very helpful, but if that is true, then Outlook is not a
good choice for a serious business traveler.

If I were you I'd repost in this web communities interface as a suggestion to
Microsoft -- the more people requesting a feature, the more likely it will be
implemented or at least investigated for a future release. If you don't see
"Suggestion" listed when you click the New button, try this interface instead
