One Note $100 Rebate--bricks/mortar also?

It is clear that MS is offering a $100 rebate for One Note to cash in
*after* you pay them $199 tax and shipping on their site as viewed here at
these two links:

Local Comp USA had no information on the rebate. They said "Print it Out!"
Comp USA and Office Depot are major partners of MOS 2K3. Comp USA didn't
know anything about this. To get the rebate must you buy on the site or can
you buy One Note in the store and get it and are there any student discounts
for One Note?I thought I read it was available to studnets for $49. The
note taking ability would be attractive even if the student didn't have a
Tablet but I know the Microphone would have to have enough quality for a
lecture room pickup.

According to the website the $100 Rebate certificate is included with the
product and it probably would be included with the versions sold at CompUSA
and other retailers that sell MS Office products.

Review this link you posted it also provides info regarding the $49 student
version.

Rebate Information: Contacting the Microsoft Rebate Center

You might try contacting the MS Rebate center to inquire about whether the
rebate is only available by purchasing on the website or if you purchase
from a retail store to get the rebate

Realy? I thought that was illegal. If you download it off Kazaa, will it work?!?!

Will you get tons of spyware, viruses, and trojans (just like the rest of the crap on Kazaa)!?

I'd recommend spending the $100 vs. downloading a pirated, virus-infested hack. Its only $100! Geez, people are cheap! Or poor. Or both!
