One note Beta activation Bug

[WHY?]

Just downloaded One note 2007 and can't activate. It say's I do not have an
internet connection LOL yea the one I have used to write this message.

Microsoft help, this seems to be a major bug in activation for this product
since many are complaining of the same thing.

Aloha WHY?,

Well, I haven't heard many complaints about it but...have you tried rebooting
your machine? Does OneNote start other than complaining about activation?

Yep Rebooted 3 times, Reinstalled 2 times, Continues to say "can't find
internet connection" I installed office 2007 beta no problems. I also found
this posted on other web sites, funny how only a few posted here?

I'm running out of start ups LOL.

Yea the rest of the program seems to be working just the internet validation
problem.

I can recall only one person posting about this and I think her issue
was solved by uninstalling and reinstalling.
The pro package and OneNote use the same activation system, so if one
works, the other should work too...I know, should...

Stop trying. There are now several posts across the newsgroups of people
reporting problems with activation in the past few hours. I'd assume the
MS activation servers are having issues. Give them some time to fix it.
Try again tomorrow.

It seems the bug is the wording "cannot find a connection to the internet" It
should say "servers busy" I activated this AM.

Given what Patrick reported earlier, you may be right.

I'd log that as a bug on Connect.
