One Note file is corrupt

I was working for about 40 minutes on several different new pages...and got a
message that the file I was working on was corrupt and One Note was going to
close and reopen. There was a dialog box referring to backup but I couldn't
read it all before the close and reopen. Now the pages that I had been
working on either say "an unknown error occurred while opening this page."
or "this page was added by another....page content will be available after it
is synced."

Diagnostics reported this was a known error and would be corrected in the
final 2007 One Note.

Is there anyway to retrieve the files now. I tried to Sync...but the
documents were all set for one user and all the sync options are grayed out.
I tried to restore backups, but none of today's work was listed in the
backups. Is there any other way I haven't figured out to retrieve data?

I gather I should update to the newer release of 2007 Beta One Note but I
only see an update for all of Office (huge too) and I don't intend to update
the other Office Products to 2007...just One Note so I can sync with my phone
PDA. Is it possible to just update the 2007 One Note...or is it an all or
nothing deal.

Thanks,
Sandy

Which version of the ON2007 beta are you running? Beta2 or Beta2 TR?

If the latter, then there is no later version to upgrade to other than
the forthcoming release version.

You may want to try to close the section file, and then try to reopen it
up and see if ON can make another attempt at opening it or fixing it.

To add to what Erik said. If you are running Beta 2, then you need to
download the B2TR patch for all of Office 2007. It won't install the
other Office 2007 products. It will only patch the installed B2
applications, your OneNote, to B2TR.
