One Note image to text

I need to know if there is a fix to keep text (notepad) documents as text not
images.

One Note 2003 saves text as an image. When cutting and pasting documents
from one program to another it shows as an image. Sometimes Microsoft will
prompt you with the clipboard if you want to keep the same formatting, but
not all of the time.
I am also aware that you can export a note to MS Word.

What service pack of 2003 are you running?

Do you get a Paste Options floating menu after you paste content from
Notepad? If not, turn on that option from Tools | Options | Shoe Paste
Options Button

If you are not pasting the content into OneNote, how are you placing the
content into ON from these other programs?
