One Note is missing all my folders

I have the one note Icon on the MS Office Outlook tool bar and previously
have been able to transfer e mail and other items into it. However now I am
getting an error message: One Note cannot find the destination section. Make
sure that the section is not deleted, password protected and not marked 'read
only' To specify a different destination in One Note click Tools -- Options
--Outlook Integration. I have my files in backup but they have disappeared --
HELP PLEASE

what does tools \ options \ outlook integration show as the section being used?
