Sad as it is there is NO WAY to get reset the password.
Your section is lost unless you find the password again.

So that means that I will not be able to use the personal information
function at all? Ever. What would happen if I deleted ONENOTE and
reinstalled it? Or would I have to delete all of Office 2007?

You will not be able to use the section in question anymore.
The section is password protect and there is no way to remove the
password.

No need to re-install and/or delete anything (except the section in
question).
The password is contained in the file for the section.
No way to get it out of there.

You might use an earlier backup from before protecting the file.

Thanks for the references, Jihn.
I stand corrected.

But honestly speaking, I do not like the idea at all that there are
tools like this allowing to hack passwords.

Sorry to be blunt, but: Get used to it, Rainald. :)

For everything that uses a password -- outside of possibly the NSA --
there is usually a hack, crack or whatever that can recover it. It
may not always be publicly available, but it's out there.
